THE EXTINCT OFFICE
The old office identifier in Rill's record was not one his present desk was authorised to use.
The emergency office was abolished, but some retained controller lists still accept its operational authority. A current transmission desk and a matching emblem do not by themselves identify the issuing actor.
Revised chapter evidence: paragraph 26, paragraph 33, paragraph 37, paragraph 44
Original Archive 002 fiction. Companion to the revised novel; printed cards are playtest prototypes.
